Jewellery Care

Each piece of The Crystaling Jewellery is crafted from premium natural gemstones and findings to guarantee long-lasting endurance.

Nature provides a special gift that we are thrilled to share.

To ensure that The Crystaling Jewellery is well-preserved, here are some helpful tips.

GENERAL CARE ON THE BEADED BRACELET & NECKLACE

The Crystaling is crafted with top-notch Japanese wire, providing long-lasting daily wear.

However, to maintain this durability it's important to handle the jewellery with care, avoiding any repetitive tugging and pulling as this can damage the joint. When removing the bracelet or necklace, be sure to unlock the clasp or pull gently.

Prolonged exposure to activities such as sleeping, showering, exercising, and swimming or sauna use can weaken the bonds of the materials used to construct the jewellery.

For added peace of mind, The Crystaling offers a one year warranty on all jewellery.

GEMSTONES & PEARLS

1/ Avoid Scratching with hard or abrasive objects

Natural gemstones vary in Moh's hardness, with harder stones like Sapphire, Ruby, Diamond and Onyx, and softer stones such as Amazonite, Fluorite, and Rhodochrosite, which can be easily scratched.

To best maintain their luster, store jewellery pieces in individual pouches or separate compartments of a jewellery box in order to avoid contact with other objects.

The gemstones are cut from natural rock. They can "breath" and also intake outside energy and pollutant.

These stones, extracted from natural rock, are receptive to environmental elements and must be regularly cleansed and recharged.

2/ Avoid chemicals, extreme heat & prolonged sunlight

It's important to avoid exposing your jewellery to chemicals such as lotions, hairspray, detergent, chlorine (e.g. from swimming pools), colognes or perfumes as these can damage gems. When wearing the necklace and bracelet, ensure you put them on last.

To clean gemstones with a mild soap, be sure to thoroughly rinse off all soap residue as this can dull the jewellery's appearance.

Extreme temperatures are also not advisable as they can change the structure and stability of the gems, possibly causing fractures or cracks. Moreover, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause certain gemstones to fade or discolour.

Pearls

Pearls are more delicate than other gemstones and should be treated with utmost caution. They must not be exposed to chemicals, abrasive objects or extreme temperatures.

To revitalize their sheen, pearls should be gently wiped with a damp cloth and mild soap before dabbing dry with a soft cloth.

SILVER & GOLD

Sterling silver is particularly vulnerable to oxidation when exposed to salt air or sulfur-containing gases, resulting in a discoloration and eventual darkening of its surface with tarnish.

To stave off this process, regularly wearing the silver jewellery can reduce the speed of the oxidation.

In comparison, 10k, 14k, and 18k Gold experience a much slower rate of tarnishing.

To manage any tarnish on silver or gold, the following are effective techniques:

1/ Rub with silver cleansing cloths

The tarnish can be removed using special silver or gold cleaning cloths. To prevent the excessive removal of silver, it is best to apply a gentle rubbing motion.

2/ Dip in a special cleansing solution.

Excessive exposure to the cleaning solution may cause damage to certain jewellery and gemstones. To ensure the safety of your purchase, please refer to the instructions on the bottle before use.

We are happy to provide our expertise should you have any questions.

3/ Clean with hot soapy water

Silver can be cleared of dirt and grime by washing with warm, soapy water, followed by a thorough drying using a soft cloth. When using a dryer, ensure the heat setting is on the lowest possible level to protect any heat-sensitive stones.
